At first we thought we were lost but then we realised that we were not lost at all! We found the place where we need to be. As we were venturing our way to Mt Wellington we randomly found ourselves in a beautiful open field near Hall Street. Hobart is not a place that’s lost or forgotten, but instead it’s filled with adventures and new discoveries.

ISLINGTON HOTEL INFINITY FOUNTAIN

But first things first, drop your bags at the famous Islington Hotel Hobart. As we still could admire the views of Mount Wellington from the luxe hotel, check out the stylish furnished rooms, their large green gardens, the vegetables and their grown fruits in their hotel backyards. When you are feeling like you just need to take a moment to relax, especially if you are jet-lagged from your travels then enjoy their bubble baths and Aesop Skincare included in the bathroom to cater your luxurious experience. So now you are calmed and pampered let’s go on and continue the adventure in this amazing city called Hobart!

salamanca market MOUNTAIN VIEW

The best things in life are free. A favourite amongst the locals, the Salamanca Market is a must visiting hotspot on Saturday mornings. Jump from stall to stall and be oared by artisan jewellery, clothing, vintage pieces, handmade items, pottery, plants and flowers. Perhaps one that everyone looks forward to is the food. Hobart is known for their eccentric tastings with fresh local produce along with delicious coffee and brunch. Facing the Hobart waterfront are one-of-a-kind sandstone warehouses at the Salamanca Place which is known as one of Tasmania’s well-known landmarks.

MONA MUSEUM

If you didn’t come to Mona, you didn’t come to Hobart -end of story.

Located within the Moorilla winery, MONA(Musuem of Old and New Art) is not just the best of Hobart but it is the best of Australia. From the antiques to contemporary- it would definitely like being a kid at the candy store for any art lover. Trust us when we say that it would be an unforgettable experience where you will take with you more knowledge as well as memories. If you are unsure about your travel plans then MONA might have the answers to your worries so make sure you check out MONA Pavilions.

CORNELIAN BAY

CORNELIAN BAY Boathouse is one of those hidden places that only the locals know about. Joshua brought me here because I couldn’t stand missing out on a chance to capture beautiful photography as all the surrounding houses sit on the water with waterfront views and are painted in different colours. It is the perfect place for an afternoon run around the water.
