When I visited Tokyo in Dec19 with Adam, I asked my friend Junior for help, since his a bloody intelligent person who absolutely knows what kind of restaurants we are looking for – something very local and authentic, not doing marketing, not Instagram famous, not newspaper famous, somewhere you can’t see a long queue full of tourists outside.
So we were brought to Goryonsan – Shibuya, a restaurant you can hardly find the entrance or signs, but a little path leading underground!
Tips:
- I was told this place is also extremely popular among locals especially during the weekends. So make the reservation as early as possible, I was told to make the reservation three weeks in advance sometimes!!!!
- Bring a huge plastic/trash bag for your coat/jacket since the smoke will totally make your clothes stink!
